RICHMOND, Ind. – Jerry Lee Taylor, age 53, of Richmond, died Tuesday, October 18, 2016.
Born September 24, 1963, in Winchester, Indiana, to William E. and Jane F. Nolte Taylor, Jerry lived most of his life in Richmond.
He graduated from Richmond High School in 1981. Jerry was a Senior Project Manager for National Salvage & Service Corporation and other environmental companies throughout his life. He was a member of the Steelworkers Union. Jerry loved Notre Dame football… ‘GOD, COUNTRY, AND NOTRE DAME.’ He enjoyed golfing and fishing. Jerry was the family ‘Grill Master’, and famous for his BBQ chicken legs.
Survivors include his wife, Susan Darlene Lester Taylor, to whom he was married on April 11, 1997; son, Stuart Taylor of Missouri; daughters, Brandi Rosenberger of Centerville, Indiana, and Alisha (Justin) Fekete of Carmel, Indiana; grandchildren, Kayci and Mason Taylor, Micaila, Madison, and Mason Rosenberger, and Livia and Ellery Fekete; dad, William Taylor; sisters, Johna (Chuck) Carufel of Indianapolis, Indiana, and Sandy Marlow of Richmond; brothers, Robert (Angela) Taylor of Richmond and Tony (Angela) Taylor of Bloomington, Indiana; nieces; nephews; aunts; uncles; cousins; many friends, including his ‘brothers from another mother’, Rob Thomas, Kyle Murray, Steve Wright, Tony Hammer, and Scott Gilmore; and last, but not least, his fur-baby, Oliver.
He was preceded in death by his mother, Jane Taylor; nephew, Justin Taylor; brother-in-law, Steve Marlow; and father-in-law and mother-in-law, Dean and Ruth Ann Lester.
Visitation for Jerry Lee Taylor was from 4:00 to 8:00 p.m. Saturday, October 22, 2016, at Doan & Mills Funeral Home, 790 National Road West, Richmond. The family requests that everyone attend in Notre Dame gear. Funeral service was at 10:00 a.m. Sunday, October 23, 2016, at Doan & Mills Funeral Home with Tony Taylor officiating. Burial was in Crown Hill Cemetery.
