Obituaries - Daniel Lee Toschlog

Richmond, IN– Daniel Lee ‘Dan-The-Man’ Toschlog, age 30, of Richmond, Indiana, died Friday, December 9, 2016, following a valiant battle with alcohol addiction.

Born January 8, 1986, in Richmond, Indiana, to Jeff and Lora Parrish Toschlog, Daniel was a life-long resident of Richmond. He was a 2004 graduate of Centerville High School and a 10 year 4-H member. Daniel formerly owned his own lawn mowing service and Construction Company. He was a skilled carpenter and had most recently been self- employed in home remodeling. Daniel had an impeccable work ethic and enjoyed being outdoors, big trucks, four wheelers, and tractors. He loved going ‘cabrewing’, cooking, and listening to music. Daniel was loving, loyal, mischievous, and ornery. He was always the life of the party.

Survivors include his mother, Lora Toschlog of Richmond; father, Jeff (Linda Carpenter) Toschlog of Richmond; sister, Hannah Toschlog of Richmond; maternal grandparents, Bud and Carol Parrish of Abington; paternal grandmother, Rhea Toschlog of Richmond; aunts; uncles; cousins including Kelli Toschlog and Justin Clay; many friends including Jamie Clark; his brothers by heart, Mark Livingston and Jason Clark; his one true love, Ashley Duncan; and his beloved dog, Thor and his cat, Frank.

He was preceded in death by his paternal grandfather, Robert ‘Pop’ Toschlog Sr.

Visitation for Daniel Lee Toschlog will be from 4:00 to 8:00 p.m. Tuesday, December 13, 2016, at Doan & Mills Funeral Home, 790 National Road West, Richmond. Funeral service will be held at 1:00 p.m. Wednesday, December 14, 2016, at Doan & Mills Funeral Home with his grandfather, Rev. Bud Parrish, officiating. Burial will be in Crown Hill Cemetery.

For those with loved ones that are fighting addiction, Daniel’s family asks that they do everything possible to be supportive, to never give up, and most importantly, to always show them love.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions will be accepted at the Doan and Mills Funeral Home to help defray the cost of funeral expenses.
