HAGERSTOWN, Ind. – C. Darrell Stephenson, age 66, of Hagerstown, died Tuesday, October 11, 2016, at his home.
Born May 29, 1950, in Richmond, Indiana, to Kenneth H. and Lillian M. Johnson Stephenson, Darrell was a life-long resident of Wayne County. He graduated from Richmond High School in 1968. Darrell served in the U.S. Navy during the Vietnam War. He worked as an auto mechanic for the Richmond Police Department for 18 years. Darrell was a member of the Amvets Post 38 and a former member of the John Hennigar F.O.P. Lodge #63.
Survivors include his daughter, Danielle Brittenham of Centerville, Indiana; sons, Derrick Stephenson of Richmond and Dale, Cameron, Dominick, Josh, and Jason Stephenson; grandchildren, Hunter Whited and Holden Hampton; sisters, Kim Scott of Richmond and Denise Stephenson of Liberty; brother, John Stephenson of Williamsburg, Indiana; nieces; nephews; cousins; and many friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents and sister, Connie Bell.
A memorial gathering for C. Darrell Stephenson will be from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. Monday, October 17, 2016, at Doan & Mills Funeral Home, 790 National Road West, Richmond. Burial will be in Glen Haven Memorial Gardens at a later date.
