For its third location in the state, Centerstone opened a Stride Center at 816 Dillon Drive, Richmond. This facility operates as a jail or hospital alternative for those experiencing mental health or substance use crises. Indianapolis-based Damar expanded into Richmond, occupying the former Wernle Youth & Family Treatment Center property (2000 Wernle Road). Services available include residential, outpatient and community-based treatment options for children living with developmental and behavioral disabilities.
For a night on the town, enjoy an evening at Tri-Axe Throwing at 821 E. Main St. Individuals or groups can tap into their inner warrior in spirited competition. After that hearty workout, trek to the 400 block of N. Eighth for pizza and brews at Bad Dad Brewing Co.
Another new spot for pizza is Cambridge City’s Chicago’s Pizza, at 109 W. Main St. Dine in or carry out for a slice of Windy City pie. For lighter fare, cruise to the east side of Richmond to the new Chick-fil-A at 5901 National Road E. Its signature chicken and “My pleasure” service arrived late summer.
