Milestone Contractors will mill and pave eight stretches of Richmond roads during the next month.
The city’s Board of Public Works and Safety on July 23 awarded a $673,299 contract to Milestone. The city received $332,941.50 in state Community Crossings funds and will cover $340,357.50.
The roads that will be paved are:
- Peacock Road from North West 13th Street to Salisbury Road.
- South 18th Street from South B to South E streets.
- South 20th Street from Reeveston Road to South E Street.
- South 21st Street from South B to South E streets.
- Cedar Cliff Road from South A Street to Backmeyer Road.
- Stonecreek Road from Quail Hill to Backmeyer Road.
- Quail Hill Road from Stonecreek Road to Cedar Cliff Road.
- Hodgin Road from South 37th Street to Garwood Road.
The board also approved a contract with TargetSolutions Learning of Tampa, Florida, to provide consulting and online training services for Richmond Fire Department. The cost is not to exceed $11,271.
