The Lincoln baseball team traveled to Modoc on Thursday, April 9, for a nonconference game with the Union Rockets. Eagle head coach Jeff Gwin showed off the depth of his young talent by starting eight freshmen in the game. They combined to collect 16 hits and defeated the Rockets 17-7 in a game halted after six innings because of the 10-run mercy rule.
Parker Brewer and Gaige Collins each collected four hits for the Eagles. Carter Pass was the winning pitcher.
