The Lady Tiger basketball team hosted Cowan on Thursday, Dec. 5, in a nonconference game. The Lady Tigers, who entered the game on a 31-game losing streak that extends back to the 2022-23 season, appeared to have the game in hand, but the Lady Blackhawks came back from a deficit late in the fourth quarter to take a 31-29 win.
Reagan Gill tied the game at 29-29 with a layup late in the fourth quarter and Vanessa Hall, who led Cowan and all game scorers with 16 points, hit two free throws to break the tie and restore the lead to the Lady Blackhawks. The Blackhawk defense did not allow the Tigers to score again.
