RICHMOND — When the Hagerstown girls showed up for practice to start the golf season first-year Head Coach Heather Searcy knew that she had a group of twelve golfers who were all capable of helping the team win on any given night. What she did not know was how competitive they were mentally. Saturday the team again showed their burning desire to succeed, winning the Wayne County Tournament at Highland Lakes, in a match shortened to nine holes because of turbulent weather. The Lady Tigers, who are unbeaten on dual meets this season, and who have a firm grip on the Tri-Eastern Conference regular season title, ran away from the field Saturday. Morgan Rector lead the purple-clads and all golfers participating. The splendid sophomore claimed Medalist honors carding a 47.
