The Northeastern Lady Knights basketball team hosted Hagerstown in a Tri-Eastern Conference game on Wednesday, Dec. 17. There was some concern before the game about how the Lady Knights would perform because they were playing for the first time in 12 days and had not been able to practice regularly because of inclement weather.
The Lady Knights quickly dispelled any concern, using stifling defense to generate offense that led to a 21-4 lead at the end of the first quarter. The Lady Tigers adjusted to the defensive pressure in the second quarter but still trailed 33-15 at halftime.
The Lady Knights kept adding to their lead in the second half, eventually triggering a running clock with 7:39 remaining in the fourth quarter.

The Knights placed three players in double figures, led by Karri Gammon with 14. Ady Kircher scored 12 points and Macey Oler scored 10 points. Elly Cheeseman led the Lady Tigers with eight points.
