Head coach Dave Baker’s Northeastern Knight baseball team made another effort to gain statewide respect Saturday, April 15 by splitting a doubleheader with second-ranked Wapahani in games played at scenic Raider field.

Game 1 – Northeastern 3 Wapahani 2

The Knights outhit the Raiders 11 to seven and got a strong pitching performance from Logan White to defeat the Raiders. Logan White also helped his own cause with a double. Colton Creech, Kaiden White and Treydon York each collected two hits for the Knights. Keaton Mikesell, Justice Hollingsworth, Carson Terrell and Blake Waters also had base hits for the Knights. Gavin Lash smacked a solo home run for the Raiders.

Game 2 – Wapahani (4-4-1) 5, Northeastern (6-1) 4

The Raiders slipped by the Knights in the second game. Justice Hollingworth and Carson Terrell each had two hits, but the Knights were limited to just six hits as a team. Keaton Mikesell and Logan White collected the other two hits. The Knights used four pitchers in the game with Kaiden White suffering the loss.
