The Northeastern Lady Knight softball team had a high-scoring week last week, winning three games in the process.

On Tuesday, May 2, the Lady Knights easily defeated Winchester Community 13-3 in five innings on the road. A seven-run fifth inning ended the game. The Lady Knights collected 14 hits. Lexi Russell led the hit parade with three.

On Thursday, the Lady Knights hit the road again for a match-up with Randolph Southern. The Lady Knights again lit up the scoreboard, winning 13-1 in five innings. Freshman Bella Stoops led the team with three hits.

On Friday, the Lady Knights traveled to Centerville for an important Tri-Eastern Conference game. Again, the magic number was 13 runs—it was deja vu. The Lady Knights ran up a 13-1 lead in six innings before the game was stopped because of the 10-run mercy rule.

Lady Knights junior Emma Neeley had the hot bat, collecting three hits, including two home runs, and drove in five runs.
