The Northeastern boys basketball team proved again in their home game played on Friday, Dec. 13, against Eastern Hancock, that they can play at any pace, but they prefer to be the team that dictates the pace.

The Royals, members of the Mid-Eastern Conference, prefer to play at a slower pace, and they were leading 20-19 at halftime.

Northeastern dialed up their defensive pressure in the second half to speed up play and outscored the Royals 32-15 in the second half en route to a 51-35 win.

Sam White led the Knights with 12 points; Noah Payne and Tre Vanlandingham each scored 11 points.
