The Northeastern baseball team opened Tri-Eastern Conference play on Thursday, April 17, with a trip to Liberty to face the Union County Patriots.
Logan White blasted a two-run home run in the top of the first inning to give the Knights a lead they would never surrender. Logan White ended the game with four hits and four RBIs. Twin brother Kaiden White collected three hits, including a triple, and drove in three runs. Blake Waters collected three hits, including two triples, to drive in two runs.
The Knights also had five sacrifice bunts in the game and stole five bases.
Isaiah Martinez led the Patriots with three hits.
