The Northeastern Lady Knights traveled to Cambridge City on Friday, Jan. 31, for a Tri-Eastern Conference game with the Lincoln Lady Eagles. The game was the final regular season game for both schools.
The game was a mismatch. The 2A state-ranked Lady Knights rolled to a 70-11 win to complete their Tri-Eastern Conference schedule with a perfect 8-0 record. The win was also the 22nd of the season for Northeastern, a new school record for regular season wins.
The Lady Knights placed four players in double figures: Ava Mikesell led with 16 points, Mackenzie Johnson scored 13 points, Ady Kircher scored 11 points and Brooklynne Adams scored 10 points. Allison Clayton led the Lady Eagles with 5 points.
