The Panthers took a 4-1 lead in the first inning but the visiting Knights refused to go away Tuesday, April 21, in an important Tri-Eastern Conference game.
Northeastern batted back to tie the game at 4-4 in the fifth inning and then scored four runs in the top of the sixth inning to build an 8-4 lead.
The Panthers responded with four runs in the bottom of the sixth inning to tie the game at 8-8 entering the seventh inning. The Knights scored a single run in the top of the seventh inning and shut the Panthers down in the bottom of the seventh to pick up the win.
The Panthers outhit the Knights 14-8, but the Knights were more efficient. Logan Seal collected two of the eight Knight hits.
The Northeastern win stopped a six-game Panther win streak.
