When the Northeastern Lady Knights traveled to Parker City on Saturday, Nov. 25, for a matinee game against the Monroe Central Lady Bears, most fans expected it to be a tossup game.

The Lady Knights eliminated all doubt about the outcome when they raced to a 25-6 lead after one period. The Lady Bears had no answer for the quickness of Northeastern guards Ady Kircher and Ava Mikesell as the Knights increased their advantage to 38-14 by halftime.

The Bears tried to battle back, outscoring the Knights by 12 points in the third period, before the Knights pulled away in the fourth quarter.

Kircher led the Knights and all game scorers with 25 points. Mikesell added 14 points. Kimber Abshear scored 14 points for the Bears; Sydney Patterson added 13.
