Indiana University East senior Ashlynne Osborne is sharing her recent policy and research work at the state level.
Osborne, also an Ohio Connections Academy graduate, and a classmate are scheduled to present their work Feb. 18 at the 2026 Regionals at the Rotunda at the Indiana Statehouse.
Guided by IUE professor Mark Sanders, Osborne assessed Richmond’s financial health and support of four key projects last year. The project’s positive reception led the Richmond City Council to vote and approve recommendations from Osborne’s research.
The New Paris, Ohio native spoke highly of her tenure with Ohio Connections Academy, crediting it for her collegiate success.
“When I got to college, I approached every class just like I had at Ohio Connections Academy,” said Osborne in a news release. “That meant I used the online resources, read the textbook and worked through the assignments.”
An accounting major, Osborne will graduate this spring. She currently works at Brady Ware as a tax and audit intern and plans to earn her CPA license after graduation.
