The Centerville Lady Bulldogs basketball team hosted a six-team tournament that began on Friday, Dec. 26, and concluded on Saturday, Dec. 27. Centerville lost to Edinburgh 48-32 and defeated Blackford 36-26 in games played on Friday. In the Saturday championship round, Centerville lost to Fort Wayne Blackhawk 55-30 in the third-place game. South Ripley was the tournament champion. At the conclusion of the tournament, Kendall Nelson from Centerville was named to the All-Tournament team.

The Lady Bulldogs got off to a slow start and never recovered. Nelson led Centerville with 20 points. Kenna Streeval scored 18 points to lead Edinburgh.

Centerville limited Blackford to only nine points in the first half. Showalter had a breakout game, scoring 14 points to lead Centerville to victory. Centerville led at the end of each quarter and was never seriously challenged. Showalter led Centerville in scoring and Nelson scored 12 points. Olivia Murphy led Blackford with 24 points.

Blackhawk jumped out to a 19-5 lead at the end of the first quarter and never allowed Centerville to get back in the game. Bowi Frame led Centerville in scoring with 10 points. Desi Pope led Blackhawk with 17 points.
