Both Hagerstown’s boys and girls placed a distant second to Delta in the Hagerstown Quad track and field meet Thursday evening April 6, while outpacing both Monroe Central and Union City.

The Lady Tigers won three events. Hattie Hobbs won the 300 hurdles in 52.1 and the high jump at 4-6. Delaney Oliger won the discus with a personal best toss of 90-6.

The Tiger boys won two events. Kayden Young took the 800 in 2:06.1, and Mason Bowlin won shot with a personal best distance of 48-3.5.

Several Hagerstown athletes recorded person bests during the meet.

Girls Team Scores: Delta 109, Hagerstown 70, Monroe Central 39, Union City 5

Boys Team Scores: Delta 116, Hagerstown 63.5, Monroe Central 34, Union City 24.5
