Inspectors reported one item found out of compliance during routine inspections of local food establishments.

The classification of being in or out of compliance replaces previous health department terminology of critical and noncritical violations. Compliance is based on the number of risk factor or intervention violations, and whether there are repeated issues.

Establishments are required to post the most recent routine inspection adjacent to the front public entrance for potential customers to view.

Wayne County Health Department employees collected these concerns between June 4-22.

If any critical violations are found, inspectors follow up to ensure the establishment has made the necessary corrections. They also make visits if members of the public submit complaints.
