Cypress Drive in Glen Miller Park is closed daily between Elks Road and Canna Drive for installation of new gas lines.
The Richmond Board of Public Works and Safety approved the road closure request by Miller Pipeline during its May 14 meeting. The closure from 7 a.m. to 5 p.m. daily began May 18 and is expected to continue for 14 working days.
A memorandum of understanding between Richmond Police Department and the Delaware County Prosecutor’s Office involving the regional High Tech Crimes Unit was unanimously approved. RPD Det. Michael Wright will continue working full time as part of the unit that investigates crimes involving digital technology. The new MOU extends the agreement through Dec. 31, 2031.
The unit is state-funded and includes Delaware, Wayne, Fayette, Henry, Union, Randolph, Blackford, Grant, Jay, Rush and Wabash counties.
Richmond Fire Department’s contract with Reeves Manufacturing to repair the roof of its live-burn chamber at the training ground was approved 3-0. Cost is not to exceed $1,500.
