Inspectors discovered zero critical and six noncritical violations during recent routine inspections of local food establishments.
The violations included mold, dirt, standing water, and broken and missing equipment.
Establishments are required to post the most recent routine inspection form adjacent to the front public entrance for potential customers to view.
Wayne County Health Department employees collected these concerns between Oct. 14-18, 2024.

- None.
Noncritical Violations
- Oct.18: Buffalo Wild Wings, 4661 National Road E., Richmond. Noncritical: Missing/broken floor tiles pooling water in recessed area in front of fryers and throughout kitchen. To be corrected by Nov. 18.
- Oct. 18: Round Barn Shell, 4121 National Road W., Richmond. Noncritical: Boiling water advisory check; sanitizer test kit not provided. To be corrected by Oct. 28.
- Oct. 17: Pizza King, 2916 E. Main St., Richmond. Two noncritical: Dirty air vent above ice machine; stem-type thermometer not provided. Both items to be corrected by Oct. 28.
- Oct. 14: Subway, 3601 E. Main St., Richmond. Noncritical: Mold-like substance above sink. To be corrected by Oct. 17.
- Oct. 14: Village Pantry, 1201 S. 9th St., Richmond. Noncritical: No thermometer in reach-in coolers. To be corrected by Oct. 24.

- Oct. 16: Subway, 3601 E. Main St., Richmond. Mold-like substance above sink; issue corrected.

- Oct. 23: Wendy’s North, 2324 Chester Blvd., Richmond. Employees eating while on the food line. Discussed with manager; no issue found at time of inspection.
- Oct. 22: IHOP, 540 W. Eaton Pike, Richmond. Moldy fruit reported; no issue found.
- Oct. 15: McDonald’s, 2320 N. Chester Blvd., Richmond. Dirty bathrooms. Discussed with manager; follow-up date not provided.

Inspections
Wayne County Health Department inspects local stores, restaurants, schools and other food providers at least twice per year. If any critical violations are found, inspectors follow up to ensure the establishment has made the necessary corrections. They also make visits if members of the public submit complaints.
