Every Child Can Read invites greater Wayne County to “feel like a kid again” for its Community Scholastic Book Fair April 24 and 25.
Families are encouraged to embark on the nostalgic journey of browsing stories at the book fair, with all proceeds benefiting Every Child Can Read. The nonprofit organization builds literacy skills for Wayne County youth.
“For many adults, book fair day was one of the most anticipated moments of childhood,” said Patti Peterson, executive director of ECCR, in a news release. “This event brings that feeling back—while making a real impact for children right here in our community.”
This event is made possible by sponsors including Ahaus Tool, Bader Mechanical, Brewer Broadcasting and Reid Health.
All are welcome on Friday, noon-6 p.m., and Saturday, 10 a.m.-4 p.m., at Lotus Hall & Events, 185 Fort Wayne Ave., Richmond.
