The Lincoln Lady Golden Eagles opened their 2025 volleyball season by hosting the Lady Lions of Rushville. The Lady Eagles came up short, losing the match 3-1, but showed a lot of promise.

After losing the first set 16-25, the Lady Eagles bounced back to tie the match by winning the second 25-20. The Lady Eagles fell behind in the third set and never recovered, losing 25-20 and eventually losing the fourth set 25-13.

Lincoln head coach Don Crum was encouraged by his team’s play. “The team showed great improvement over their off-season schedule,” Crum said, “and demonstrated the ability to compete on a higher level.”
