The Lincoln Lady Eagles saw their season end on Friday, Feb. 7, losing to the Randolph Southern Lady Rebels 40-19 in the semifinal round of the sectional. The Lady Eagles fell behind 11-2 at the end of the first quarter and could never make up their deficit.
The Lady Rebels pulled away in the final period to advance to the championship game, where they will face Monroe Central.

Alexis Shumaker, a six-foot senior, led the Lady Rebels in scoring with 10 points and was the only player for either team to score in double figures. Gracie Gambill and Addyson Pitcock each scored 4 points to lead Lincoln.
It was the final game in a Lincoln basketball uniform for seniors Gracie Gambill, Morgan Gambill, Addyson Pitcock and Aubrey Trent.
