The Cambridge City Lincoln boys basketball team maintained their share of the Tri-Eastern Conference lead in a game played at the Nest on Friday, Jan. 24, against Union City.
The Eagles took a 13-11 lead after one quarter, increased it to 34-27 at halftime and 47-36 after three quarters. The final score made the game seem closer than it was. The Eagles maintained a safe lead the entire second half before allowing the Indians to score an uncontested basket as time expired.
Lincoln placed four players in double figures. Noah Patterson led the Eagles with 17 points, Dustin Lunsford scored 16, Oliver Webb scored 12 points and Aidan Munchel scored 11 points.
Trendon Spence led the Indians and all game scorers with 21 points, Luis Nieto scored 14 points and Colton Emrick scored 10 points.
With the win, the Eagles (3-0) remain deadlocked with Northeastern (3-0) and Winchester (3-0) as the only remaining TEC teams without a loss in league play.
