Inspectors reported one item found out of compliance during routine inspections of food establishments.

The classification of being in or out of compliance replaces previous health department terminology of critical and noncritical violations; Compliance is based on the number of risk factor or intervention violations, and whether there are repeated issues.

The violation includes dust in food preparation areas.

Establishments are required to post the most recent routine inspection adjacent to the front public entrance for potential customers to view.

Wayne County Health Department employees collected these concerns between April 9-April 30 and May 2-30.

Inspections at a glance

Wayne County Health Department inspects local stores, restaurants, schools and other food providers at least twice per year. If any critical violations are found, inspectors follow up to ensure the establishment has made the necessary corrections. They also make visits if members of the public submit complaints. For more information, visit in.gov/localhealth/waynecounty/ or call 765-973-9245.
