The Red Devils, who seem to improve each week, triggered a running clock in the third quarter en route to a 48-0 blowout win over the visiting Marion Giants Friday, Oct. 2, in a North Central Conference game on Lyboult Field.
The Red Devils used a balanced attack and capitalized on Marion turnovers. Thomas Stargell completed four passes for 43 yards and a touchdown, and Kyren Rogers completed a 19-yard touchdown pass.
Stargell also rushed for 110 yards and two touchdowns on only 10 carries. Adaiah Belcher returned an interception for a touchdown. Tyziah Stubbs turned in his usual all-around game with a rushing touchdown, a receiving touchdown and two recovered fumbles for touchdowns. Ian Cox added a touchdown and Ryder Morken kicked six PATs.
Belcher led the defense with 13 tackles, Isaiah Delucio had 10 tackles, and Dallas Hogg and Maurice Hibbler were each credited with nine tackles.
