All For You Lawn Care will receive more than $100,000 to mow Richmond’s rights of way.
The city’s Board of Public Works and Safety unanimously approved two contracts with All For You Lawn Care. The first is for rights of way when authorized by the city’s code enforcement department. Total cost is estimated at $106,645.65 with a 10% margin of error. The city has the option to renew the contract for 2027. Matthew Keller, director of operations and engineering, said changes to schedules and more city crew mowing enabled the city to save about $60,000 from previous years.
All For You Lawn Care also received a contract to mow nuisance properties as determined by code enforcement. It will receive $140 per property mowed.
The board also approved a contract with Reid Hospital and Health Care Services for testing services during the city’s Health Fair scheduled for May 8. The prices are $54 per woman and $63 per man, and up to 300 employees, eligible spouses and retirees are tested annually.
“This is, I think, a very, very important program that we do for all the employees,” said Ken Paust, the board chair.
Paust said a similar program helped catch cancer early in multiple county employees when he was a Wayne County commissioner.
