A murder mystery dinner is planned in March in Wayne County, and there’s also suspense in finding out who will be recognized for community service that night.
Cambridge City Area Chamber of Commerce is offering the 1940s-themed “The Haunted Train” mystery as part of its annual dinner. All area residents are invited.

Social time begins at 5:30 p.m. Thursday, March 13, followed by the dinner and interactive mystery at 6 p.m. in Hartley Hills Country Club, 201 N. Woodpecker Road, Hagerstown.
Guests are encouraged to wear their best 1940s attire and solve the murder.
The story will be presented by Murder & Merriment, which has five companies based in Cincinnati, north central Ohio, Louisville, Lexington and West Virginia. The company’s founder has developed mystery parties since 1988, and its actors perform in seven states and on riverboat cruises.
During the evening, chamber volunteers will also recognize someone with the Small Town Big Heart award.
Ticket payments of $35 per person and attendees’ names should be mailed to P.O. Box 206, Cambridge City, IN 47327. Organizers aim to receive payments by March 5. Seating is limited to 74.
