Several Wayne County eateries are participating in Restaurant Week and/or Flavor of Wayne County festivities.
Wayne County Area Chamber of Commerce is offering its annual food sampling and live music event called Flavor of Wayne County at 6 p.m. Friday, Oct. 9. It’s open to ages 21-plus and will take place in a new location at Forest Hills Country Club, 2169 S. 23rd St., Richmond.
Tickets are $30 and can be reserved at web.wcareachamber.org/events. Participating restaurants and caterers include Sweet Blessings Bistro Bakery, Pilgrimage Wine Co., Olde Schoolhouse Vineyard & Winery, Fricker’s, Forest Hills, Downtown Deli and Catering Co., Culver’s, Crumb & Velvet Bakehouse, and Chick-fil-A.
The chamber also organizes the Oct. 10-18 Restaurant Week event that encourages residents to try a new spot, order something they’ve never tried or return to an old favorite.
Some restaurants will offer specials or new menu items throughout the week.
