Friday, Sept. 25, the Bulldogs beat Rushville in a high-scoring nonconference game.

The Centerville football team, which entered the season with high hopes, have been hampered by injury problems and entered Week 6 of the season with a losing record. The ‘Dawgs took out their frustrations on the winless Lions, hammering them by the score of 62-20, with a running clock in the second half. 

Centerville ran for 210 yards and passed for 243 yards. Jace Hollendonner was nearly perfect, completing 15 of 16 pass attempts, including four touchdown passes. Hunter Sonntag scored three touchdowns, Kyle Dickenson scored three touchdowns, and Bryson Brown, Davis Pentecost and Bo Shadle each scored a single touchdown. Gage Logan was a perfect 8-8 on PAT kicks.
