The Centerville tennis team saw its record-breaking season come to an end on Tuesday, May 27, with a 4-1 loss at the hands of New Castle. Ellie Cox at No. 3 singles was the lone Centerville winner. With the win, New Castle advanced to the regional championship match on Wednesday, May 28 , where the Trojans lost 4-1 to sixth-ranked Fishers.

No. 1 singles — Peyton Blessinger (NC) defeated Makenna Hartman (C) 6-3, 5-7, 6-2

No. 2 singles — Ashlynn Blessinger (NC) defeated Kylar Marshall (C) 6-2, 6-0

No. 3 singles — Ellie Cox (C) defeated Chelsie Groce (NC) 6-1, 6-1 

No. 1 doubles — Emma Harris and Cadence Armacost (NC) defeated Myleigh Hartman and Madi Fralick (C) 6-1, 6-4

No. 2 doubles — Lauren Gilman and Lydia Razor (NC) defeated Kami Johnson and Natalie Hemlin (C) 6-1, 6-3

Even though the Lady Bulldogs lost this match, they had a phenomenal season. They extended their Tri-Eastern Conference win streak to 33 matches, winning the league title for the 15th consecutive season and have won the sectional championship in each of the last four seasons. The team shut out 12 opponents this season 5-0.

The individual team members compiled impressive overall records while playing an aggressive schedule.  Makenna Hartman had a record of 18-4 playing at No. 1 singles. Kylar Marshall had a record of 17-4 playing at No. 2 singles. Ellie Cox had a record of 18-2 playing at No. 3 singles. Madi Fralick and Myleigh Hartman had a record of 19-3 playing at No. 1 doubles and Natalie Hemlin and Kami Johnson had a record of 14-8 playing at No. 2 doubles. 

The team was also named an All-State All-Academic team by the Indiana High School Tennis Coaches Association.
