The Centerville Bulldogs are leaving the Tri-Eastern Conference after this school year to join the newly formed Eastern Crossroads Conference beginning with the 2026-27 school year. The Bulldogs would like to collect as many TEC championship trophies as possible on their way out the door.
On Friday, Feb. 20, the Bulldogs hosted Tri High, defeating the Titans 74-33 to clinch the outright TEC basketball championship and join the boys tennis team and the boys wrestling team as TEC champions this school year. But the celebration did not stop there.
The Bulldog seniors were honored after the game. Ethan Vecera was recognized as the all-time career leader in both assists and steals. Shea Hollendonner pushed his career scoring total over the 1,500-point plateau during the game and was recognized as the all-time career scoring leader. The senior class, which also includes Landyn Keiser, Kaden McCord and Keith Plyley Jr., have played in 61 wins and counting.
The game was a complete blowout. The 2A fifth-ranked Bulldogs steadily pulled away to a 79-33 win. Hollendonner ended the game with 27 points, Plyley Jr. scored 11 points and Keiser scored 10 points. Jonah Cox led the Titans with 12 points.
