The Seton Catholic track teams went to Noblesville on Saturday, April 26, to participate in the annual Guerin Catholic Invitational. The Lady Cardinals turned in a strong performance, capturing fifth place.  

The team of Jana Clemente, Jackie Clemente, Peyton Anderson and Brylee Roosa placed sixth in the 4×800 relay.

Bryn VanVleet placed second in the 100-meter hurdles, fifth in the 300-meter hurdles and second in the high jump.

VanVleet, Gwynie Falcone, Sara Swinney and Bella Cornell placed fourth in the 4×400 relay.

Swinney placed third in the 100 meter, fourth in the 400 meter and sixth in the 200 meter. Falcone placed seventh in the 1600 meter and fifth in the 800 meter. Cornell placed fifth in the 100 meter. Jackie Clemente placed third in the 3200 meter. 

In the boys meet Gavin Killion placed third in the 1600 meter and second in the 800 meter for the Cardinals. 

Cambridge City Lincoln also participated. Top finishes for the Eagle boys included Aidan Munchel, second in the 110 meter hurdles, and Sam Bogue, eighth in the shot put and 10th in the discus. Anthony Monaghan finished ninth in the shot put. In the girls competition Aubrey Trent finished fifth in the shot put and eighth in the discus. 

Greenfield Central (136) slid past Hamilton Heights (129) for the boys title. Mount Vernon (Fortville)128 slipped by Greenfield-Central (117) to win the girls title.
