The Seton Catholic baseball team won their third straight game on Wednesday, April 22, with a 3-2 win over potential sectional opponent Lincoln.
The game was played on the campus of Earlham College, which will also be the site of the 1A sectional.
Taeon Tate smacked a two-RBI double in the bottom of the first inning to give the Cardinals an early 2-0 lead. The Cardinals added to their lead in the fifth inning when Ethan Nisewonder singled and went all around the bases to score on a throwing error.
The Eagles fought back to score two runs in the top of the seventh inning before Tyson Tremain recorded his ninth strikeout to end the game. Tremain limited the Eagles to three hits in a complete game performance.
