The Seton Catholic Cardinal basketball team traveled to Connersville on Wednesday, Jan. 15, for a nonconference game with the 3A Spartans. The Cardinals found themselves in a big hole early, trailing 21-7 at the end of the first quarter.

Early in the fourth quarter, the Spartans hit a 3-pointer to increase their lead to 18 points. The Cardinals employed a press that was effective and started to hit 3-pointers. The Cardinals hit four 3-pointers and were a perfect 6-6 from the free throw line in the fourth quarter, cutting their deficit to 3 points before eventually losing 60-55. 

Jason Moynihan led the Cardinals with 18 points, and Grant Semler scored 16 points. Hunter Allen led the Spartans and all game scorers with 21 points.
