It was an announcement that Seton Catholic did not want to make, but their current situation dictated it. On Friday, Nov. 3, Seton Catholic athletic director Trent Tremain announced that the girls basketball program for the 2023-24 season has been canceled because of a lack of participants.
Making the announcement now allows schools that had scheduled games with Seton Catholic to find other opponents.
Seton expects to have the necessary numbers to restore the program next season.
