Cambridge City resident Presley Sorah participated in the kickoff race for the 2026 NASCAR ARCA Menards Series, the ARCA 200, held at the legendary Daytona Speedway on Feb. 14. Sorah was the only driver in the field from Indiana to qualify.
Sorah overcame a blown tire, with 28 laps remaining in the 200-mile race caused by debris on the track, and the resulting undercarriage damage, to make it to the checkered flag and place 27th in the 50-car field.
The race was Sorah’s ninth career start in the NASCAR ARCA Menards Series, but his first time to race at Daytona Speedway. The race was part of NASCAR Daytona 500 weekend, which many fans consider the Super Bowl of stock car racing.
Sorah drives for Fast Track Racing Inc. which is owned by Indianapolis native Andy Hillenburg. Hillenburg was the ARCA Series champion in 1995 and drove in the 2000 Indianapolis 500.
Clean N Simple Commercial Cleaning Services out of New Castle, Indiana, is an associate marketing partner of Sorah’s car.
Sorah’s schedule for 2026 is not yet set, but he has tentative plans to race in both Kansas and at Talladega in May and in Indianapolis in July as part of the Brickyard 400 weekend.
