In the final team results at the Centerville Girls Wrestling Invitational, Centerville won the event with a score of 157. Richmond finished second with a score of 102.5.
Wrestlers representing Blue River Valley High School, Eastbrook, Franklin County, Hagerstown, Monroe Central, Mount Vernon (Fortville), Richmond, Tri High, Union County, Wes-Del and Yorktown joined the host school on Wednesday, Dec. 18.
Weight class champions for Centerville included Cami Davis at 120 pounds, Carissa Shadle at 135 pounds, Alea Skinner at 145 pounds and Shelby Life at 190 pounds. Other top six finishers for the Lady Bulldogs were Bella Kelley (second) at 100 pounds, Tzuri Phillips (second) at 115 pounds, Jax Skinner (sixth) at 130 pounds, and Reagan Cauley (fourth) at 170 pounds.
Claire Abbitt was a weight class champion for Richmond at 130 pounds. Other top six finishers for the Lady Red Devils were Amya James (fifth) at 115 pounds, Geneva Sumner (third) at 120 pounds, Marlee Wampler (second) at 125 pounds, Alejandra Quiroz-Bello (fifth) at 130 pounds, Ambria Tate (second) at 135 pounds, Rosina Rankin (third) at 145 pounds, Key’Aysha Golden (third) at 155 pounds, Dashauna Gammage (fifth) at 170 pounds and Emily Garcia (fifth) at 190 pounds.
Results for Hagerstown wrestlers were not reported.
