In a rematch of the 2025 regional game, Centerville and Parke Heritage met for the regional title at Martinsville High School on Saturday, March 14, and with it the right to move on to the semi-state round.

Parke Heritage controlled the game from early in the first quarter with the Wolves eventually taking a 66-46 win. The Bulldogs took a 4-3 lead three minutes into the first quarter on a Shea Hollendonner basket. It was the only lead for Centerville in the game.

Treigh Schelsky ran the Wolves’ offense and anchored the Wolves’ defense. Schelsky either scored or assisted a teammate’s basket to help his team build a 26-17 halftime lead. Parke Heritage outscored Centerville 18-7 in the third quarter to push its lead to 44-24 entering the fourth quarter.

The Bulldogs responded with their most productive quarter of the game, scoring 22 fourth-quarter points, but the Wolves matched their total to take a 66-46 win, snapping a Bulldog 11-game winning streak.

The Wolves, who are headed to the semi-state for the third consecutive season, were led in scoring by all-state candidate Schelsky, who scored 24 points to push his career scoring total to a school record of 1,841 points. Six-foot-9-inch Isaac Pickel scored 14 points and Carter Crum added 12 points. The Bulldogs were led in scoring by Shea Hollendonner and Ethan Vecera, with nine points each.

Centerville head coach Brian Keiser said he was disappointed for his kids.

“Parke Heritage is a good team,” Keiser said. “I think these teams are closer than the final score indicated. They played a near-flawless game and just about anything that could go wrong for us did. Some days are like that. Our early shot selection was not good, and as a result we fell behind and never recovered.”

Keiser is confident in next year’s team, too.

“Even though we will lose a strong senior class, our program is still in a good place,” he said. “We will return a lot of varsity experience, and our freshman and JV teams were a combined 25-2.”

The Bulldogs ended the season with a record of 24-3, a Centerville school record and a tie for the league record for the most wins in a season by a Tri-Eastern Conference team.

It was the last game in a Centerville basketball uniform for seniors Shea Hollendonner, Landyn Keiser, Kaden McCord, Keith Plyley Jr. and Ethan Vecera.

Hollendonner finished his career with 1,603 points, a Centerville school record. Vecera finished as the all-time Centerville assist and steals leader. Keiser finished his career with 871 points.
