The Bulldogs defeated the Shenandoah Raiders in Middletown Friday, Oct. 2, in an Eastern Crossroads Conference game. 

Centerville, which suffered several injuries early in the season, jumped out to a 14-0 lead and never looked back en route to a 48-18 win. 

Centerville junior quarterback Jace Hollendonner had another big game. Hollendonner connected on 12 of 15 pass attempts for 281 yards and five touchdowns, and he rushed for a touchdown.

The Bulldogs also gained 128 yards rushing to keep the Raiders’ defense guessing. Hunter Sonntag gained 55 yards on nine carries and scored a touchdown. 

Billy Riggs was Hollendonner’s favorite target. Riggs hauled in five passes for 154 yards and two touchdowns. Kyle Dickenson caught three passes for 97 yards and two touchdowns. 

Luke Mull returned a punt for a touchdown and Gage Logan kicked five PATs.  

Centerville’s defense kept the Raider offense in check. Davis Pentecost led the way with nine tackles. Carson Henry and Clark Thornburg each had seven tackles. 

Cash Cowley led the Raider offense, gaining 145 yards on 23 carries. Cowley also led the Raider defense with seven tackles.
