Community partners are being sought for a Back-to-School Fit Fair.

Meridian Health Services is combining what it calls the best of the event previously known as City Fit with school registration to help parents and students at a one-stop shop.

The event will include free health screenings and immunizations by Meridian’s family medical care, dentistry and behavioral health programs.

Other amenities include low-cost school and sports physicals, a backpack giveaway, fitness classes hosted by local instructors, live music, a kids’ entertainment zone with inflatables, and a health fair with community vendors.

The Fit Fair is taking place from 3-6 p.m. Friday, July 25, at Richmond High School, 380 Hub Etchison Parkway, Richmond.

After evaluating past participation numbers and the new location, the fair will not include the Color Run of earlier years.

Prospective sponsors or vendors are encouraged to contact Leona Mitchell, practice manager for Meridian’s primary care office in Richmond, at Leona.Mitchell@meridianhs.org or 765-939-2395 to request paperwork.
