Indiana University East is hosting a May summit that it hopes will better prepare area leaders for how artificial intelligence technologies will change the region’s economy.
The IUE AI Summit is Friday, May 1, from 12:30 p.m. to 4:30 p.m. in Vivian Auditorium, 2325 Chester Blvd., Richmond. The event is free to attend, with registration limited to the first 250 participants.
The university is inviting business and nonprofit leaders, policymakers, educators, and concerned residents to the event, according to the IUE website. The summit will feature industry and community voices addressing practical strategies for regional growth that takes AI into account.
In addition, immediately before the summit from 10:30 a.m. to noon in Springwood Hall Room 211, IUE is hosting a series of 10-minute mini-sessions that will introduce attendees to the basics of AI.
