Charles A. “Boz” Wolfe, age 97, of Richmond, Indiana, died Wednesday, August 10, 2022, at Friends Fellowship Community. Born November 3, 1924, in Richmond, Indiana, to Charles Eugene and Mildred Jacobs Wolfe, Charles was a life-long resident of Richmond. He was a graduate of Richmond High School.
Charles began working for the Palladium-Item as a delivery person, worked in the press room and then became supervisor in the press room before becoming Executive Production Manager, retiring after 42 years. He was a member of Calvary Baptist Church. Charles loved traveling, attending family reunions, woodworking, and after retirement went to school for clockmaking. He was an avid golfer, and “If you were playing golf with “Boz” you had better have brought your A game!”
Survivors include his children, Janice Stevens and Cheryl (Darl) Ellington, both of Richmond, and Chris (Phyllis) Wolfe of Greenwood, Indiana; seven grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; siblings, Janice Durbin of Richmond, Jerry (Phyllis) Wolfe of Noblesville, Indiana, Betty Foreman of New Madison, Ohio, and Raymond Wolfe of Richmond; sister-in-law, Margaret Wolfe; nieces; nephews; cousins; and many friends. He was preceded in death by his wife, Margaret Wolfe; daughter, Karen Riley; parents; brother, Robert Wolfe; sister, Peggy Bates; brothers-in-law, James Foreman and Paul Durbin; sister-in-law, Donna Wolfe; and niece, Judy Walter.
Visitation for Charles A. “Boz” Wolfe will be from 12:00 to 2:00 p.m. Sunday, August 14, 2022, at Doan & Mills Funeral Home, 790 National Road West, Richmond. Funeral service will follow at 2:00 p.m. Sunday, August 14, 2022, at Doan & Mills Funeral Home with Pastor Curt Neis and Dwayne Heeter officiating. Entombment will be in Earlham Memorial Mausoleum.
