Martha Ann Wheeler, 79, of Richmond, passed away July 28, 2022, at Reid Health. She was born February 3, 1943, in Indianapolis to Forrest Byard and Lela Frances Crise Wiley and lived in Richmond for the last six years.
She was a member of Harrison Street Baptist Church in New Madison; she worked as a Registered Nurse for Richmond Family Medicine.
Martha loved to scrapbook, knit, crochet, paint, and sew.
She was a loving and caring wife, mother, and grandmother to her husband of 58 years William “Bill”, one son Christopher Thomas (Lisa) Wheeler of New Paris, one daughter Elizabeth Ann Smith of Richmond, and seven grandchildren Matthew (Hannah), Mark, Sarah, Luke, Alexander, Robert, Tyler; three great-grandchildren, one brother Harold (Rita) Wiley, one brother in law Richard Parker, several aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces, and nephews.
She is preceded in death by her parents, one granddaughter Nicole Marie, one great-granddaughter Faith Marie, and one sister Helen Louise Parker.
Services will be 1:30 PM on August 3, 2022, at Stegall-Berheide-Orr Funeral Home with Pastor Kyle Herrmann officiating; burial will be in Goshen Cemetery.
