Linda Goble, 66, of New Castle, passed away unexpectedly on Thursday, July 7, 2022 at Henry Community Health.
She was born on March 19, 1956 in Muncie, Indiana, a daughter of the late Russell Frederick and Elsie Mae (Weems) Williamson.
Linda was a 1974 graduate of Blue River Valley High School. She worked for the State of Indiana for 30 years most recently with Family and Children Services. Linda loved animals and would often rescue and provide care for them. She loved country music and was an avid reader – especially James Patterson, a NASCAR fan, and she also enjoyed watching the NBA and NFL. Linda was the rock of her family and made a special effort just this past Monday to be with them on the July 4th holiday.
Those left to cherish Linda’s memory include two daughters, Regan (Mike) Ziglar and Caylyn Williamson, both of New Castle; siblings, Nona Huddleston, Beth (John) Pratt, Charles (Cheryl) Williamson, and Sharon Lee all of New Castle, and several nieces, nephews, and great-nieces and great-nephews.
In addition to her parents, Linda was preceded in death by two brothers-in-law, Paul Huddleston and Gil Lee.
Funeral services will be held at 11:00 am Tuesday, July 12, 2022 at Sproles Family Funeral Home. Burial will follow at Gardens of Memory in Muncie.
