Debra Sue Riley (Goodwin), age 64, died at her residence on June 29, 2022 after battling with heart failure and kidney disease for several years. She was born in Richmond, Indiana on June 6, 1943 to Vadia Ann (Powell) Turner and Earnest Grays Jr. Debbie enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren, shopping, watching T.V. and taking care of her dog. Lately she has been very ill, making it difficult for her to enjoy the things she loved. After the passing of two children, she battled with depression and wasn’t able to find the strength to go on. She is now finally free, no longer suffering or in any pain. Debbie was loved by her family and friends and will be dearly missed.
She leaves behind one son, Ryan Ridge, whom she thought of often; granddaughter Brandi Riley (Gabriel Velazquez); great grandchildren Jehison Riley, Landon Velazquez, Evelyn Velazquez; sisters Sharon McMiller (ex: Claude McMiller), Tonya Grays; brother Ronald Limburg; nieces, nephews, cousins and two special friends Ada Jean and Juane White. She is preceded in death by her children Deanna Riley and William (Billy) Riley; two husbands Earnest Riley and Daniel Goodwin; brother Donald Burgan and long-time companion James (Jimmy) Griffith.
A celebration of life will be held at 4:00 P.M. on Saturday July 9, 2022 at New Life Ministries – Church of the Nazarene (1305 Ratliff St. Richmond, Indiana). Pastor Ron Chappell will officiate. Anyone who loved and cared about Debbie is welcome to attend.
