Obituaries - H. Virginia Wittman

RICHMOND, Ind. – H. Virginia Wittman, age 90, formerly of Wayne County, died Tuesday, October 4, 2016, in Noblesville, Indiana.

Born May 8, 1926, in Richmond, Indiana, to George and Margaret Karcher Niewoehner, Virginia lived most of her life in Richmond and Greens Fork.

She worked in the Cost Accounting Department at NATCO for 35 years. Virginia was a member of the Centerville Women’s Club, An’ North Homemakers Club, and Clay Township Historical & Preservation Society. She was a member of the Trinity Evangelical Lutheran Church, where she served on the finance committee.

Survivors include her son, Christopher Wittman (Susan Tancock) of Noblesville; grandchildren, Calla and Suzanna Wittman, Madeline Arnott, and Michael Shew; son-in-law, Rick (Becky) Arnott of Fishers, Indiana; sisters-in-law, Joann Wittman of Dublin, Indiana and Patricia Wittman of Muncie, Indiana; nieces; nephews; and many friends, including special friend, Rhea Toschlog.

She was preceded in death by her husband of 36 years, John C. Wittman; daughter, Jo Anna Wittman Arnott; grandson, Colin Arnott; parents; sister, Betty Anderson; and brother, Dick Niewoehner.

Visitation for H. Virginia Wittman was from 10:00 to 10:30 a.m. Saturday, October 15, 2016, at Trinity Evangelical Lutheran Church, 2300 West Main Street, Richmond.

A memorial service followed at 10:30 a.m. Saturday, October 15, 2016, at Trinity Evangelical Lutheran Church with Reverend Dr. Daniel Nugent officiating.

A private burial was in Lutherania Cemetery.
