Mrs. Olive M. Ranck passed away peacefully on Friday evening, March 4, at Friends Fellowship Community.
She was born Olive Mae Beals in Richmond, Indiana on August 21, 1929, the daughter of Jesse Franklin and Della M. Snyder Beals. Mrs. Ranck was a 1947 graduate of Richmond High School. She was a 1951 graduate of Earlham College and completed her graduate work at Ball State University.
Mrs. Ranck enjoyed a long career as a Home Economics teacher. She taught in Richmond before accepting a position with Northeastern Wayne School Corp., where she taught for many years. She was a birthright Quaker and a faithful member of First Friends Meeting in Richmond.
Mrs. Ranck will be missed by her husband of 67 years, George G. Ranck, whom she married on July 6, 1954; daughter & son-in-law, Ann & Dr. Paul Robbins, and several nieces & nephews.
Mrs. Ranck was preceded in death by her parents, sisters, Phyllis Kendall and Ellen Burns; and brother, John Beals.
Mrs. Ranck requested to be interred privately in Willow Grove Cemetery. The Smith-McQuiston Funeral Home, Fountain City, is assisting with arrangements.
